Alexander Sezelnev studied at Moscow Culinary College, where he was named twice Student of the Year. After his graduation, he went to some of the best kitchens in Moscow and Paris.
In 2004 he opened the Patisserie Seleznyoff in Moscow where, as Chef Director, he created and developed the most acclaimed cakes, pastries, desserts and tarts in Moscow.
He first started to appear on television in 2000 with various programs but came to wider public attention on the Domashniy channel program Sweet Stories, where he focussed on desserts, puddings and cakes while visiting places from his culinary past that have inspired his recipes.
Alex Seleznev is a bestselling author of Russian cooking books. By now he has more than 20 books.
He took part in La Maison du Chocolat show as a chef a designer of a chocolate dress.
