Christian Schaberreiter, Austrian Chocolate Master 2009
After a long day of intensive competing at the highest level, the Austrian Chocolate Master 2009 has been selected by the professional jury.

3. Viola Plundrak, Landtmanns feine Patisserie, Vienna
Christian Schaberreiter has won the “Patisserie Grand Prix der Schokoladekunst” and therefore the title “Austrian Chocolate Master 2009”. The Austrian competition took place in the pompously “Redoutensäle of the Hofburg Vienna”. More then 3.500 visitors have seen very creatively and formidable show pieces, pralines and chocolate cakes.
On the same day the "Junior Chocolate Masters" were organised for young patissiers under the age of 26 years. They made chocolate showpieces to the theme of "L´Esprit francais".
The winner of the Junior Chocolate Master 2009 is Laura Pelzmann, Konditorei Kundlatsch, Gleinstätten. She is invited by Barry Callebaut to visit the world finals of the World Chocolate Masters 2009 in Paris.
