Andreas Overgaard wins the title of "Scandinavian Chocolate Master 2009"

Andreas Overgaard, winner of Scandinavian Chocolate Masters 2009

Andreas Overgaard will represent Denmark in the finals
The Danish pastry chef of Conditori La Glace in Copenhagen has won the Scandinavian selection for the World Chocolate Masters. The second prize went to Sylvain Marron, the third prize to Dennis Schmidt.
Overgaard won this competition for the second time in a row. Despite the time pressure, he impressed the jury and public with some original creations and perfect craftsmanship. He will represent Denmark at this year's world finals in Paris

Contestants from all over Scandinavia
The seven contestants in the Scandinavian competition came from Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. All of them gave their own interpretation to this year's competition theme of "Haute Couture" in their showpieces, and created delicious chocolate pastry, desserts, pralines and a small showpiece for which they received special instructions in a "Mystery Box".

Sylvain Marron wins the Press Award
The Scandinavian press that attended the competition also judged the chocolate masterpieces and pralines. They chose Sylvain Marron as their winner for the Scandinavian Press Award.
