Paris, 31st October 2008 - Sébastien Trudelle from Jarny, has won this year's French national selection for the World Chocolate Masters. This 26-year-old chocolatier was clearly touched when the jury announced him as the representative of France in the 2009 world finals of the World Chocolate Masters. Vincent Lechevallier from Damville obtained the 2nd prize.  Steven Bloas from Brest became 3rd.

The French Chocolate Masters competition to the theme of "Haute Couture" was ideally set against a background of beautiful chocolate dresses at the 14th "Salon du Chocolat" in Porte de Versailles in Paris. Seven young, creative chocolate talents impressed the jury with their showpieces, pralines and pastry. All contestants had been preselected at regional selections, resulting in a French semi-final of exceptionally high level.

Yvonnick Le Maux - the French finalist in 2007 - set the standard very high, by obtaining a 2nd place in the previous world finals. Will Sébastien be able to complete the ultimate dream and go for the 1st place?
